It is not always possible to install a permanent lifeline in an area where access is difficult eg. overhanging structures. In these situations the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is the only solution. Rope Access is a form of work positioning, initially developed from techniques used in climbing and caving, which applies practical rope work to cater for the various needs of industry. It is highly skilled work and requires rigorous training and commitment. If utilised correctly it can generate considerable savings because:

  • Rapid installation and dismantling of the access systems causes minimal disruption
  • Rope systems are installed and dismantled quickly.
  • It is a practical, safe solution with the ability to solve awkward and troublesome problems that might otherwise absorb a disproportionate amount of time and money.

The correct PPE is essential. We have assembled a selection of equipment that offers unsurpassed levels of safety as well as ease of use and durability.

The practical sessions of ALL Rope Access Courses are physical and expose the candidate to the techniques utilised on the double rope system including,

  • Correct rigging procedures & knots.
  • Ascending &descending techniques.
  • Changeovers..
  • Rope to rope transfers.
  • Passing knots.
  • Rescue techniques.
  • Safe working procedures.
